In an era full of belt-tightening, one local business is letting it all hang out. And at the same time, they’re also reconnecting smartphone users to lives put on hold by broken phones. On February 12thmyPhoneMD, an innovative smartphone repair company, celebrated the grand opening of their fourth store in Southeast Louisiana.
In just a few short months, myPhoneMD has expanded from its two original locations in Mandeville and Baton Rouge to include a new store in New Orleans and another in Baton Rouge, with plans for two more locations already in the works as well as expansion outside of Louisiana. Since first opening its doors, the company has been generating buzz with its “CPR” technique, or Cell Phone Resuscitation. This technique allows the company to quickly fix broken or malfunctioning smartphones through a unique repair process that takes about ten minutes and comes with a six-month warranty.
myPhoneMD partnered with HERO|farm for the brand’s development and outreach. To get the ball rolling, HERO|farm designed the company’s logo, which is a blend of a medic armband symbol, a full signal strength icon and inspiration from an automated external defibrillator. This logo was born in the spirit of bringing seemingly dead smartphones back to life…and working several sleepless nights.
HERO|farm’s first campaign for myPhoneMD consisted of launching the second Baton Rouge store and then the New Orleans location. For the New Orleans store’s opening, HERO|farm launched a guerrilla and social media campaign, while also turning the area of Magazine Street around the store into an iHospital zone.
Recently, myPhoneMD has appeared onthe cover of New Orleans City Business, covered by 225 Magazine, WAFB Channel 9 (Baton Rouge), the Daily Reveille,NewOrleans.com, ABC 26 News (New Orleans) and more. Since then, the company has been chugging along as more and more people look for someone to save their lives…by way of saving their mobile device
