HEROfarm was recently invited by the Audubon Nature Institute to give a talk to its department heads on June 4th about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in an effort to enhance their outreach.

Chief Strategist Reid Stone and Creative Director Shaun Walker spoke to the employees during an hour-long Audubon Institute SEOsession on the technical and creative writing practices of SEO and how best to spread the word.

“It was great. We all really learned a lot from them,” said Lani McWilliams, Director of Member Services and organizer of the event.

In a series of bi-weekly speaking engagements, Audubon is continually educating its employees on the latest outreach practices as they look for smart ways to increase the awareness of and traffic to their facilities. With enhanced SEO knowledge, the Institute will now be able to maximize their outreach when announcing new exhibits, upcoming attractions, facility information and broadening the gift shop’s scope, as well as help add to the tourism industry in New Orleans.

Spyfu, a free-to-use website metrics page, and bit.ly, a link tracking utility site, were two of the methods HEROfarm spoke about during the presentation.
