Second Graders React to Lammily, The New “Normal Barbie”

Graphic designer turned toymaker Nickolay Lamm has made waves recently with his popular Lammily doll — a “Barbie” created with the measurements of an average 19-year-old woman’s body (based on CDC data) that gives a more realistic view of women. The life-like doll also comes with a sticker-extension pack, complete with cellulite, freckles and acne to give it added realism.

To test if his “normal Barbie” was on the right track, Lamm asked a bunch of second-graders for their thoughts on Lammily. Here are the results.
